Creating content is a major part of my business. I spend so much time creating what I think is EPIC content only for it to get buried in the archives. I bet you can totally relate.
But what if you could reach more people with the content you have already created?
Wouldn’t that be amazing?
I thought so!
So here is the deal, you will take your already AMAZING content and turn it into “new” content that can be shared in different ways on a variety of platforms.
This helps you capture new audiences that might not have found you otherwise.
So here are 10 ways you can repurpose your blog posts.
1. Create quote or tip images to share on social media.
This goes beyond creating just a blog post image in a variety of sizes for social media. This is pulling out your best quotes or tips from a blog post and putting them into bite-sized chunks.
A quick visual is a great way to catch the eye of your ideal audience. It could even entice them to go check out your blog to read the full post.
- Write a tweet using a quote image and ask your audience a question to start up conversation around the topic
- Post a quote or tip image to Instagram and do a mini blog post write up // for example I could post a quote about repurposing and list maybe 3 ways to do so in an Instagram post, that way it isn’t too long
- Go in a Facebook group (your own or others) and do a mini teaching post with a few of the main points from your blog post or even post this on your own business page
Add some of your favorite quotes as a Click-to-Tweet in your blog post! That way if people love it while reading your post, they can share it really easy. Here is an example of how I have implemented this:

2. Record a Facebook Live or Periscope
I am loving this one lately. Basically, you pull out the main points from your post and turn it into a live stream.
This gives you the opportunity to be more real with your audience. They will be able to hear you and see your mannerisms. It brings you to life – way more than any blog or social media post can do.
Plus videos tend to get a lot of engagement.
I like to do live streams within my Facebook group (The Lovely Entrepreneur Society), in other Facebook groups that allow it and then I am going to venture to my business page soon as well.
Here is an example of one I did in another group, I took my blog post 25 Maddening Blog Design Mistakes for You to Avoid and turned it into a live stream. I paired it down and directed them to the post if they were interested in learning more.
Before you live stream and/or promote in someone else’s group, be sure to check the rules. Every group is different.
3. Turn it into a YouTube video
This one may freak you out. You might be thinking, “how the heck can I create a video?” Well, it is easier than you think.
You don’t even need to be on camera for this one (if you don’t want to). This can be a simple recording of a PowerPoint presentation with a voice over of you speaking. My favorite tool is Camtasia for recording my screen.
Don’t worry about giving the same content, I bet you the people discovering your content on YouTube are not the same people who will be reading your blog!
4. Email your list
There are two ways to do this: (1) email a snippet of your blog post and lead your subscribers there or (2) introduce the blog post with a personal story or more relevant information.
Personally, I am a fan of the second option (even though I am guilty of doing the first one).
You have the chance to get more personal than you would on your blog because your list isn’t public for everyone to see. The people on your list have signed up and WANT to hear from you.
So use this as an opportunity to drive traffic to your blog but more importantly connect and start conversations with your audience.
5. Record a podcast/audio version
This is something I want to start doing for my blog. I am not sure I am going to jump up and start a full on podcast right away but I love the idea of having an audio version of your blog post.
Think about it – some people learn the best by reading, others by listening and others by watching. This just gives your audience one more way to consume your content.
The main thing for this one would be to make it sound more like you talk rather than how you write. I know I don’t want to listen to a podcast where it sounds like they are reading from a script the whole time and not being real.
This can work in reverse too! Are you a podcaster that wants to start blogging? Well, you can have your podcast transcribed – either just show notes or the full thing.

6. Create a free challenge
This one is a fun one! You can turn one of your blog posts into a free email challenge or even a free challenge that you host in your Facebook group.
Do you have a post that would make a great challenge?
I bet you do!
I would recommend breaking the content out into a 5- to 7-day challenge. That way you can break the content up and not overwhelm them.

7. Host a webinar
Webinars are fantastic because it allows people to hop on live and ask questions. It gives you a chance to share your expertise ever further to a LIVE audience.
Plus this is also a great way to grow your email list. They will need to opt-in to see the webinar so it is like doing double duty.
If you are new, there is a chance that not many people will hop on. But that is okay because you can send the replay and even decide to turn it into a paid offering later!

8. Create an ecourse
This can be a free or paid ecourse. That decision is totally up to you.
If you have been blogging for a while, you most likely have a bunch of blog posts around one topic that can be repurposed into a killer course.
Think of how you can make the content better (especially for a paid course). Would adding cheat sheets or worksheets help? Would creating a group for program members be a great bonus? Etc.
That is actually how I created my Week of Code email course. I turned an old blog series into a course. I used videos and created cheat sheets and additional how-to guides. It has been an amazing lead magnet for me.
9. Create an infographic
If you are great at designing, then this would be a fun way to recreate your content.
The best part? I bet it will do great on Pinterest!
Infographics tend to be tall and provide so much value that they will stand out in the Smart Feed. So if you are big on Pinterest, I would test this one out.
10. Create a recap/roundup post
This is a super easy way to bring attention to your older posts.
If you have a ton of blog posts that talk about the same topic, then you can create a post that shares all of that information and links back to the original post.
Think snippets here, not the entire post. You will also want to reword a bit so you don’t run into issues with duplicate content.
There are SO many things you can do to make the most out of your existing content. If you aren’t getting your content out there on other platforms you are definitely missing out.
When you share your content in a variety of ways and on different platforms you are basically shouting out your message. You are opening up your content and value to new audiences. You are leaving no stone unturned.
